Reefs

Artificial reefs for lobster were designed jointly with biologists, the Homarus group and fishermen in order to contribute to North Atlantic lobster conservation. Installation is made easier for divers by including rope handles in the unique design. The mix of concrete and special structural fibres create an ideal habitat for lobster.

Our reefs are resistant to salt water and the very difficult climate conditions of the Atlantic Ocean. A number of fisheries specialists continue to analyze the continuous data these reefs provide in order to find ways to improve habitat.
